Maggie Stys

CEO and Co-Founder

Dr. Styś co-founded dreyev with CTO Roberto Sicconi in 2016 to solve the challenges of distracted driving faced by commercial fleet owners. 

An entrepreneur at heart, Dr. Styś is passionate about disruptive technologies, new business models and emerging global markets. She is a cofounder and CEO of TeleLingo, currently on a mission to save lives of drivers by observing and modeling their attention behind the wheel, to prevent distracted driving conditions and consequent accidents.

About Malgorzata

Dr. Styś is an accomplished technologist with focus and passion for Intelligent Conversational Machines.

Dr. Styś earned her PhD in Natural Language Processing from the University of Cambridge (1998), Masters in Linguistics from the University of Warsaw (1991) and has completed the IBM MBA program (2000).  Throughout her life, she has lived on three continents and worked in four countries.

Work

Over the last two decades, Maggie has been leading high tech initiatives across industry and technology partners. While staying on the cutting edge of the convergence between technology and business, she started her IBM career at Watson Research, broadening her experience by working in two business divisions, to return to Watson as a Business Strategy Executive responsible for multi-million dollar IP alliances with Big Data, Energy, Education, Finance, and Smarter Planet clients.

As a Research Staff Member in the Conversational Machines Team, Maggie pioneered development of virtual assistants. Throughout her research career, she has designed, implemented and patented work in Natural Language Processing, Dialog Systems, Information Management, Discourse Analysis and Machine Translation.

Wearing a business hat, Maggie set the new direction to CIO’s Enterprise Business Information and built up IBM CIO Innovation Teams spanning global locations including India, China, Vietnam and the US. At the IBM Industry Solutions Lab, she was responsible for the creation and consulting in Big Data and Business Analytics.

At IBM Research, Maggie led multi-million dollar advanced technology alliances across industry and technology C suite Clients.
